Advanced Fitness students will be using Polar heart rate monitors during class. They will use the heart rate monitors two days a week while we are working on the cardiorespiratory aspect of fitness. Students may choose whatever activity they like, as long as they are getting their heart rates up into the target heart rate zones. Zones are set between 135 and 165. Students must be in target heart rate zone for 20 minutes. Points will be deducted if students do not reach 20 minutes in zone. Students are responsible for their own heart rate band. If lost, these bands cost $10 to replace.
